Celtic wedding invitations often feature Celtic knots. Celtic knots
consist of a variety of, usually, endless knots. The patterns have their
origins in the late Roman empire and were used by the Celts. Early
Christian manuscripts contain Celtic knots along with other artwork such
as illustrations of animals and plants. However, there is no known
religious significance to the patterns.
Celtic themed wedding
invitations remain popular even when the latest fashion dictates a more
modern style. It is perhaps the simplicity and symmetry that attracts
couples. Or maybe it is the endless nature of the knots. A symbol of
endless love, a sign of their commitment to each other. For whatever
reason a couple chooses their wedding stationery they won't be
disappointed with the variety available.
